Why True Grit
  1. Feeding
    True Grit Bison are fed minerals, hay, molasses, and oats based on their age. As bison get closer to finishing, we allow them free choice feed – meaning they have access to high quality oats, hay and water as desired.
  2. Butchering
    We select our butchers based on the cleanliness of their facility, expertise, and reputation. All our butchers have been approved by Alberta Health Services and are regularly inspected.
  3. Handling and Vaccinations
    We handle bison in a low stress environment to review the animals’ overall health and to prevent worms using Ivomec. A happy herd is a healthy herd.
Delivery

For same week delivery, orders must be placed by Thursday at 4PM.
Deliveries are made weekly every Friday between 3PM – 8PM.

We currently offer delivery services to the following locations in Alberta, Canada:

  • Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Calgary
  • Red Deer
Returns

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • The product was purchased in the last 30 days.
  • The product is non-perishable.
  • The product is in its original packaging.
  • The product isn’t used or damaged.
  • You have the receipt or proof of purchase.


Products That Cannot Be Returned

We cannot accept returns for the following items:

  • Meat products cannot be returned, but if there are any issues we’d be happy to make it right.
  • Gift cards


Refunds

Once we receive your item, we will inspect it and notify you that we have received your returned item. We will immediately notify you on the status of your refund after inspecting the item.

If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within a certain amount of days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.
